Disturbed - Immortalized

Their hiatus, which began in 2011, is over. In a way, they turned back the clock, eschewing the modern habits of music writing. Instead, they gasp actually got in the same room and wrote this record together. The first single, The Vengeful One, was released on June and the official video is below.

Faith No More - Sol Invictus Vinyl Album Art

Faith No More - Sol Invictus

The reunion album came out in May and we're just now getting it on vinyl. According to a post on The PRP, bassist Billy Gould said this about the delay:

We received our test pressings for the vinyl lps and noticed something sounding odd about the US version. Odd, as in, not so good. We’ve since identified the problem and have decided to fix it. I don’t think anyone, especially a vinyl fan, wants an album that sounds anything less that what it should.

At the time he said it would be a 4-6 week delay, but it's been more like a 12 week delay. I think anyone that's familiar with the vinyl manufacturing challenges isn't surprised that it took this long. But it's here now. Go forth and celebrate.

Minecraft Volume Alpha Album Art

Minecraft Volume Alpha - C418

C418 AKA Daniel Rosenfeld is the man behind the soundtrack for the video game Minecraft. But you already knew that didn't you? You've spent many hours digging holes and killing creepers with that lilting ambient music keeping you in the zone. Released digitally in 2011, it's finally on vinyl and actually comes in two flavors. There's the limited translucent green version and the standard black version. Unfortunately, the LPs only have 12 of the 24 tracks that are on the CD.

There's a European version of this album on vinyl, but that'll run you well over $150. Now there's a proper US release for a much more reasonable price. This is a double LP and the cover glows in the dark!
